|2014-2015 IDEA Annual Application for Federal Funds|
The Annual Application is used by school districts and other agencies to apply for 2014-2015 federal flow-through grant funds under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). Part B Flow-Through Funds under the IDEA are provided to districts/agencies for programs and special education services to children with disabilities ages 3-21.
Completed applications need to be at ODE by June 2, 2014. This is a paper collection. Original signed copies of the applications must be mailed; do not fax, E-mail or send a photocopy. The district application and instructions are located on the Special Education Funding webpage.
New this year: There is only one district assurance form. Consortium managers, make sure to complete the Consortium Section on page 1, as well as sign sections V and VI on page 11.
Reminder regarding time and effort reporting: In September 2012, the US Department of Education issued updated guidance regarding time and effort reporting for employees funded with federal funds. The guidance is meant to relieve districts of some of the burden associated with documenting time and effort, and offers flexibility and clarity related to the following aspects: 1) Substitute System for Time and Effort for Employees Supported by Multiple Cost Objectives and 2) Single Cost Objective.
