|Spring Paper-Based Writing Order Window Opens January 25|
The order window for the winter paper-based Writing test opens next Saturday, January 25, 2014. Districts will have from January 25 through March 15, 2014 to complete their spring test orders for 11th and 12th grade students who did not test during the winter writing window and who have not already met or exceeded the achievement standard during a previous administration.
Districts may order paper-based writing tests for their students using the Test Information Delivery Engine (TIDE) of the OAKS Online System. As a reminder, students who have a restriction in place for Writing in TIDE will not be able to access the online test or receive a paper-based writing test. This test restriction is used to prevent students who have already met or exceeded the achievement standard or who are designated to take the Extended Writing test do not inadvertently test. To ensure that spring paper writing test orders are successfully processed for all eligible students who need a paper-based writing test, authorized district users may view student restrictions in TIDE. Pages 50-59 of the TIDE User Guide includes detailed instructions on the order process, and information about viewing or editing student restrictions is included on pp. 42-49. Your Regional ESD Partner is also available to assist.
