Mandatory Annual CACFP Training
The Oregon Department of Education Child Nutrition Programs (ODE CNP) Annual Training for Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) sponsors is being conducted as an online training through Oregon iLearn between August 5, 2013, and September 13, 2013.

The training includes sessions on:
  • Civil Rights
  • Procurement Parts 1-4

The iLearn training will be conducted the same way it was last year. There will be a quiz at the end of each training presentation. After successful completion of each quiz, you will have the opportunity to print individual training certificates. Once all trainings are completed, you will then have the opportunity to print a single certificate that includes continuing education credits.

The CACFP Food Program Coordinator, as listed in CNPweb, is required to participate in the online training.

If you already have an iLearn account, then you do not need to set up a new account. If you cannot remember your login or password information, then you can request a login ID or password reset on the iLearn login page. The link to iLearn is: https://ilearn.oregon.gov External Link

If you are a new CACFP Food Program Coordinator and did not participate in the 2012 CACFP Annual Training, then you will need to create an iLearn account. Please note: There should be only ONE iLearn account created per sponsor. Therefore, the CACFP Food Program Coordinator, as listed in CNPweb, must be the sponsor representative to set up an iLearn account.

iLearn Oregon will allow sponsors to complete all applicable CACFP Annual Training components at their convenience. Once iLearn trainings become available, they will be automatically assigned to users. You will be notified via email once the trainings are assigned with a link to access them. CACFP Annual Training must be completed no later than Friday, September 13, 2013.

Setting up an iLearn Oregon Account:
Click here PDF Document for instructions for setting up an iLearn account. If additional staff would like to set up an iLearn account, please contact your assigned Child Nutrition Specialist for approval. Once the iLearn account is created, you will receive a confirmation email with instructions on how to confirm the account and update your password. Maintain these emails, so that you will be able to log into iLearn once the trainings are available.

Set up your iLearn account by the close of business, Wednesday July 31, 2013. If your program is closed during the annual mandatory training time, or you do not have on-line access, please contact your assigned Child Nutrition Specialist.

Annual Training Requirements for all Sponsors:
Per Federal regulations, all sponsors must participate in the entire Annual CACFP Training to receive credit. Head Start sponsors that attended the Annual Head Start Program training in Redmond on April 3, 2013, have already met the annual training requirement and are not required to participate in the online training.

Failure of the Authorized Representative or the CACFP Food Program Coordinator to participate in a Mandatory Annual CACFP Training session during August 5, 2013 - September 13, 2013 will result in your organization being categorized as "seriously deficient" per Federal Regulation 7 CFR 226.6 (c)(3)(U).

Other Information:
Basic program operations and requirements will not be reviewed in this training. Sponsor staff that requires training on basic program requirements should review online training for New Sponsor-New Staff, which does not meet the 2013 CACFP Annual Training requirement.
