|Minor Changes Recently Made to Oregon’s ESEA Flexibility Waiver - An Opportunity for Input|
In July 2012, Oregon received approval of its Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) Flexibility waiver application for one year. This approval has allowed Oregon to create a more accountable and responsive system to better meet the needs of Oregon students and strengthen Oregon schools. However, since this waiver approval was conditional, staff from the Oregon Department of Education (ODE) and the Oregon Education Investment Board (OEIB) have continued to work with U.S. Department of Education on making final adjustments and revisions to the waiver proposal.
We welcome your thoughts and input on these changes until Friday, May 31, 2013. To review the ESEA Flexibility request changes and take our survey, go to: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/flexwaiver.
