On Monday, April 30, the Business Education Compact (BEC), the Confederation of Oregon School Administrators (COSA), and the Oregon Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development will present a proficiency conference at the Linn County Expo Center. The purpose of the conference is to:

- Strengthen districts' ability to implement and support proficiency-based teaching and learning.
- Collaborate with others to learn success stories, ask questions and share resources.
- Connect proficiency implementation to current district initiatives, i.e., PLCs, teacher evaluation projects and professional development.
- Explore policy issues related to implementation (HB 2220, grading and reporting, clock hours, achievement compacts, etc.)
