Oregon Proficiency Conference on Monday, April 30

On Monday, April 30, the Business Education Compact (BEC), the Confederation of Oregon School Administrators (COSA), and the Oregon Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development will present a proficiency conference at the Linn County Expo Center. The purpose of the conference is to:

  • Strengthen districts' ability to implement and support proficiency-based teaching and learning.
  • Collaborate with others to learn success stories, ask questions and share resources.
  • Connect proficiency implementation to current district initiatives, i.e., PLCs, teacher evaluation projects and professional development.
  • Explore policy issues related to implementation (HB 2220, grading and reporting, clock hours, achievement compacts, etc.)

Presenters will share student data to demonstrate the success of their work and will reserve a portion of their session time for interaction, questions, and sharing. Please direct questions to Tamra Busch-Johnsen (BEC) tbuschjo@becpdx.org eMail or Colin Cameron (COSA) colin@cosa.k12.or.us eMail.
