AYP Pre-Preliminary Report and Report Card Details

When reviewing reports, remember the Extended Assessment test records were loaded without scores. Thus, the Extended Assessments, without performance levels, are reflected in Participation as valid tests. They are also reflected in Academic Status as they are included in the denominator (# Tests) but not in the numerator (# Met). When the Extended Assessments scores and performance levels get loaded to Student Centered Staging (by July 7), any tests meeting or exceeding the alternate standard will increase the number of students who met standard (# Met).

Incomplete OAKS Online tests will be loaded by June 24 and may increase Participation rates if the student previously had a virtual (non-participation) record, but may decrease or increase Academic Status (performance) rates. Performance rates would decrease if the student (enrolled on the first day of May and enrolled the full academic year) previously had a virtual record as the incomplete test records will be loaded with a performance level of "Not Met."

Attendance reported on the Pre-Preliminary versions of the AYP and the Report Card Details are from the Annual ADM collection if submitted, otherwise, the Second Quarter ADM is used during the Pre-Preliminary review. The Preliminary AYP report that will be released to the public on August 4 will reflect the Annual ADM collection, which closes on July 15.

Attendance and graduation rates reported on the AYP report are calculated on a weighted average of enrollment information from the Spring Membership collection.

Writing tests taken during the Spring window have not yet been loaded and have not yet been included in the Performance data (page 1) and Participation data (page 4) counts on the Report Card Details report.

Subgroups are reported based on Spring Membership and LEP collections. LEP subgroup counts include LEP students who were exited in the last two years and were submitted in the 05-06 and 06-07 LEP collections with LEP exit dates. The dropout and graduation special education subgroup is based on special education collections.
