Definition: The study of Mathematics provides a foundation for the learning of science, technology, and for the interpretation of quantitative information in other subjects. It teaches students how to reason logically and develop skills useful in everyday life.

Current Standards Adopted: The Common Core State Standards (CCSS) for Mathematics were adopted October 2010.

Accountability: Student accountability for the Common Core State Standards grades 3 through high school begins 2014 - 15.
