Definition:
The career-related learning standards (CRLS) are fundamental skills essential for success in employment, college, family, and community life. They include: personal management, communication, problem solving, teamwork, employment foundations, and career development.
Current Standards Adopted:
December 1998
Accountability:
Required for high school graduation beginning with the class of 2006-07 and continuing through the class of 2010-11.
NOTE: In 2012, the Career-Related Learning Standards will be merged into the Essential Skills.
