Veterans and other individuals eligible to receive G I. Bill educational benefits must be assured that they are enrolling in programs that meet quality standards. The Veterans Education section is the State Approving Agency for high schools, universities, private colleges, community colleges, and licensed private career schools in Oregon. This section provides educational oversight and technical assistance to the schools requesting program approval in Oregon.

	State Approving Agency (SAA) The State Approving Agency (SAA) is an office of the Oregon Department of Education tasked with the responsibility of approving programs offered at public and private educational institutions in Oregon for those eligible for GI Bill education benefits.
