Virtual Field Trips
Virtual Field Trips
Videoconferencing enables classrooms of students and their teachers to enjoy field trips without ever leaving the school building, or community, depending on where the local videoconference system is located.
Virtual Field Trips are available through a myriad of museums, government organizations, community arts and education groups, and more. These field trips are live and interactive, and take place from all over the world.
Some of the field trips involve a fee in the neighborhood of $100-$200. Some are free of charge. If the provider is connected to an IP video network, you will be able to direct-dial their video site for no network charge. (The only cost would be the cost of the actual Field Trip presentation).
