A wise person once said, "It takes a whole village to raise a child." Since then, many others around the globe have picked up on that wisdom, using it to wage media campaigns, write books, and make heartwarming speeches. In today’s world of diminishing resources and increasing prices for goods and services, it does take scores of community organizations to build a school.
Schools are more than bricks and mortar. Indeed they are the sum of the cultural resources available to the teachers and students that inhabit their classrooms. Through a variety of electronic connections, Oregon students are able to visit our museums, education laboratories, theaters, and university halls without ever leaving their classrooms.
Our cultural partners help enrich Oregon’s classrooms through the implementation of distance education technologies.
The partners listed are just a few of the many organizations across our state that provide cultural resources to Oregon’s classrooms through the application of e-Learning Distance Education tools.
