2012 -2013 Subject Specific Assessment Updates
The Office of Assessment and Information Systems (OAIS) have developed new Assessment Updates for the 2012-2013 school year. These one page handouts are available for English Language Arts, Math, Science and Social Sciences (ELPA will be posted later this school year). Information related to achievement standards (cut scores), test specifications and blueprints, OAKS online Sample Tests, Local Performance Tasks (Work Samples), Essential Skills, as well as web links to valuable subject specific resources that are available on the Oregon Department of Education Website.
ELA Update 2012-13
These standards define how well students must perform on state assessments leading to the high school diploma.

English Language Arts Sample Tests
The Oregon Department of Education provides paper-pencil sample tests to demonstrate the types of reading selections and questions students at grades 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and high school might encounter on the Oregon Statewide Assessment administered each year.
Essential Skills/Local Performance Assessment
Oregon’s assessment system is comprised of three components: multiple choice tests, performance assessments, and classroom work samples.

Dynamic Interactive Scoring Calibration System is an online scoring guide training tool designed to aid educators in calibrating to the Oregon Official State Scoring Guides in the Essential Skills of Reading, Writing, and Mathematics.
