Apprenticeship

Registered apprenticeship programs are partnerships of community colleges, apprenticeship committees, employers, apprentices, the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries, and others. Apprenticeship programs train workers to meet industry standards for a specific occupation. An apprenticeship program is occupational preparatory training that combines on-the-job (OJT) experience with classroom related training. Apprenticeship related training for a particular apprenticeship program is often provided at a community college and is the result of an agreement with an apprenticeship committee.
