School and District Report Cards
The Oregon Department of Education produces yearly report cards for schools and districts. These reports--called for by the 1999 state legislature--provide educators with an opportunity to communicate directly with parents and community members about how local schools are performing.
Special Education Report Cards
The reauthorized Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA 2004) requires each State Education Agency to develop a six-year State Performance Plan (SPP). States are also required to report annually on progress in accomplishing the targeted goals of the SPP. The Oregon Department of Education uses a report format as one medium for disseminating this required information to the public.
Statewide Annual Report Card
The Oregon Statewide Report Card is an annual publication required by law (ORS 329.115), which reports on the state of public schools and their progress towards the goals of the Oregon Educational Act for the 21st Century.
