The purpose of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) Title II A funding is to provide grants to State educational agencies, local educational agencies, State agencies for higher education, and eligible partnerships in order to increase student academic achievement by increasing the number of highly qualified teachers, paraprofessionals, and administrators in schools and classrooms.

	Oregon's Equity Plan Information about Oregon's plan for increasing the number of highly qualified teachers.
	Guidance Federal guidance regarding implementation of Title II-A and highly qualified teacher (HQT) requirements.
	Allocations & CIP Budget Narrative Title II-A allocations for districts eligible for funding and information designed to assist district personnel with the completion of the Title IIA CIP Budget Narrative.
	Professional Development Professional development plans are both a state and federal requirement. This section includes resources and tools for developing comprehensive professional development plans.
	Educator Effectiveness Oregon partners and stakeholders are developing a comprehensive educator effectiveness system spanning the career continuum of teachers and leaders.

	Highly Qualified Teacher/Para-Professionals Resources for districts, schools and teachers to assist them in making determinations about HQT.
	Mentoring Information and resources related to mentoring programs.
	Resources State and federal resources related to Title II-A.
	Federal Teacher Loan Forgiveness Programs Under certain circumstances, the federal government will cancel or defer all or part of an education loan.
