Surveys of Enacted Curriculum (SEC) in Oregon

SEC 101A - Exploration

Standards, Curriculum, Instruction

SEC 101 represents a school or district’s initial examination of the surveys and is divided into two stages: Exploratory (101a) and Preparatory (101b). Efforts within SEC 101 result in Essential Readiness that will allow schools and districts to move forward with SEC.

During the Exploratory (101a) period participants explore the “what” and “why” of the Surveys of Enacted Curriculum (SEC) and examine where they are in terms of the best practices implementation of SEC. As a result, a decision can be made regarding whether or not they are ready and willing to proceed.
