Division 22 Assurance

As part of the state's mandate relief efforts, the Oregon Department of Education is conducting a comprehensive review and revision of the Division 22 standards during the 2011-2012 school year. The revisions will eliminate outdated or redundant rules and revise and reorganize the remaiing rules to clearly define a "standard school district." The intent is to help clarify areas of local compliance and streamline the assurance process.

A survey will be sent to school districts December through February 2012 for feedback on the proposed revisions. To allow time for school districts to thoroughly review the proposed changes to Division 22 standards and provide feedback, ODE will suspend submission of the Division 22 Assurance Forms during the 2011-2012 school year. During this transition year, school districts must continue to comply with the current Division 22 standards but will not be required to submit the assurance form to ODE.
