Alternative Education: Toolkits for Districts

Common Indicators of Success for Alternative Education Programs
Progress is often cross-age/cross grade and progress is continuous: The major approach to instruction resembles a one-room school. There is public recognition of success. A curriculum often described as "applied,"' "experiential," "relevant," "hands-on," or "integrated," that makes connections between the disciplines and between the school, community and the world of work.

Background
Each toolkit may be copied into a word file and modified. A toolkit may be updated periodically in response to changes in Oregon Revised Statutes, Oregon Administrative Rules, or in response to comments.
