This is the scoring model used for scientific inquiry professional development at the 2009 Malheur Summer Institute and at the 2009 Superintendent's Summer Institute. This PowerPoint presentation provides a model for professional developers to use with teachers and is focused on classroom design that leads to scorable work samples, information about the scoring guide and anchor papers and the importance of using work samples as summative and formative assessment. This PowerPoint was developed through the partnership with members of the Science Teacher Leader Cadre and the Oregon Department of Education.
