Reading Scored Student Work – High School
To help students, teachers, administrators, and parents learn what the expectations are for reading work samples used to demonstrate proficiency in the Essential Skill of Reading, the site makes available sample or "anchor" papers that show varying levels of performance, grouped by the selection students read and responded to in the Spring 2009 Field Test.
These papers may be used for teacher training, informational documents, scoring practice with students, other audiences, or for other uses.
Directions:
To view examples of student papers (with
Adobe Acrobat Reader
), click on the "Student Sample" link. To look at the scores and read the commentary, click on the "Scores/Commentary" link below the Student Sample being viewed. Some levels have multiple samples available.
