Oregon 4-H Center
5390 4-H Road NW, Salem
Directions
MS-Word (not wise to rely soley on cell phone GPS, coverage can be spotty!)

There are 499 school gardens currently in place in Oregon. This event is being designed to help them all be more effective and sustainable.

Please join us for a fun day of information, networking, and planning about how to make your school garden thrive, and to identify what additional resources you would need to "take it to the next level." The official mission statement of the day is "Provide inspiration, resources, and networking for existing school garden practitioners, plus gather input for next year and next steps toward system change."

Future year's events may include folks wanting to start school gardens, but this first Summit is intended to provide support for folks *already* doing school garden work.

SITE:
The meeting will be held at the Oregon 4-H Conference and Education Center property, just 8 miles from downtown Salem, Oregon, in the Eola Hills. The center is located in a beautiful and peaceful setting and includes 325 acres of mixed forests, meadows, and ponds with plenty of trails for walking and exploring nature. The main sessions of the meeting was held in the newly built John Gray Education Hall, which includes the large meeting area and smaller break out rooms.

LODGING:
Optional inexpensive lodging available on site. Please refer to above flyer.
