21st CCLC New Grantee Workshop, 8-22, 23-13

The Oregon Department of Education convened 22 newly funded 21st CCLC sub-grantees in a statewide New Grantee Workshop on August 22 - 23, 2013. ODE subject matter experts in English Language Development (ELD), Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) and Career and Technical Education (CTE) presented and facilitated breakout sessions to new grantee leaders and front line staff. Sessions also included Talented and Gifted (TAG) students in Afterschool, Highly Qualified Teacher requirements in Afterschool and Family Involvement. ODE fiscal specialists provided required training in grant claims and fiscal requirements. Education NW introduced their work providing capacity building, training and technical assistance to all 21st CCLC grantees to enhance student outcomes, support and disseminate best practices in the valuable field of expanded learning opportunities for K-12 Oregon students.
