Essential Skills Data Reports
School districts report to ODE which assessment option each graduate used to demonstrate proficiency in the required Essential Skills. ODE compiles this information into a report of district and state-level data.

The Essential Skills Report provides information regarding the assessment options used by students who entered high school during the 2008-2009 school year (“Class of 2012”) to meet the Essential Skill of Reading requirement. The State Board of Education has approved a number of assessment options students can use to meet the Essential Skills graduation requirements, which include the state test (OAKS), other standardized tests, and work samples.

Cohort Graduation Report
The cohort graduation rate is the percentage of students in a cohort who graduate within a particular time frame, such as four or five years. A cohort is defined as the set of students that enter high school for the first time in a given school year.
