The School District Collaboration Grant Program (Senate Bill 252) was established by the 2011 State Legislature to provide funding for school districts to improve student achievement through the voluntary collaboration of teachers and administrators to implement new approaches to:

    a. Career pathways for teachers and administrators;
    b. Evaluation processes for teachers and administrators;
    c. Compensation models for teachers and administrators; and
    d. Enhanced professional development opportunities for teachers and administrators.

2013-15 Biennium: Round Two District Collaboration Implementation Grants are now available.

The District Collaboration Grants WebEx will provide you with pertinent information for submitting your districts/consortia application. The session starts at 1pm. Please allow time to ensure you are connected when the meeting starts. Click this link MS-Word to open WebEx connection information.

Click here RTF to access the second round Requests for Proposals of District Collaboration Implementation Grants. This round, only implementation grants will be offered; Collaboration Design grants are scheduled to be available again for the 2015-17 biennium.

Grant Applications must be received or postmarked by 12:00 PM on May 12, 2014. The application may also be electronically submitted via ODE Secure File Transfer at https://district.ode.state.or.us/apps/xfers/.

Those districts eligible to apply for Year 2 & 3 implementation grants will be contacted individually. Districts interested in applying for the first year of implementation grants must meet the eligibility requirements and submit a completed Intent to Apply form (see form for eligibility requirements).

Key dates in the Requests for Proposals (RFP) process:
  • Friday, March 21, 2014: Letter of intent due to ODE
  • Week of March 31, 2014: RFP Released
  • Tuesday, April 8, 2014: Informational Webinar
  • Week of May 5, 2014: RFP due
  • Week of June 3, 2014: Districts notified of grant awards
  • June 30, 2015: Last day to expend funds

District Collaboration Grants - Statewide Grantee Meetings

2013-14 Collaboration Grant Information - Round 1

For the 2013-14 school year, the following school districts were selected to participate based on their readiness to implement or design the four required elements listed above, through a competitive application process. District applications had to include approval of local administrators, bargaining representative, and school board chair.

A second round of grants will be available March 2014.
