The ELPA performance standards were reviewed by participants including Oregon ELD teachers and coordinators, higher education faculty, parents and others during workshops on November 6-9, 2012 and February 12-13, 2013. Recommendations were made after an intensive review of test items at each grade. The resulting recommendations included some cut scores decreasing, some staying the same, while others increased. Participants also updated the Performance Level Descriptors (PLDs) for all grade levels. The recommended ELPA performance standards and the PLDs were presented to the State Board of Education on April 11, 2013, and adopted by the State Board on May 17, 2013.
