Oregon Department of Education

Educator Effectiveness Regional Workshops 2012 - 13

Educator Effectiveness

In March and April of this year, the Oregon Department of Education (ODE), in partnership with the Oregon Education Association (OEA), Chalkboard Project, Confederation of School Administrators (COSA) and regional ESDs, offered Educator Effectiveness Regional Workshops to support districts across the state implement their new evaluation systems.

The workshops were designed to provide guidance and technical assistance to district teams working to implement their local evaluation and support systems aligned to SB290 and the ESEA Waiver in preparation for the July 1, 2013 deadline to submit their design and implementation plans. District teams were encouraged to bring documents for feedback and guidance from OEA staff, SB252 (pilot) coaches, and ODE staff.

Every Oregon district was eligible to be reimbursed up to $1,000 to cover the cost of sending a team to attend both workshops. Districts seeking reimbursement should contact their regional host ESD, regardless of where they attended the sessions. If you have questions about which ESDs served as hosts, contact Tanya Frisendahl eMail.
