Veterans - Directory of Schools with VA Approved Programs

The State Approving Agency (SAA), an office of the Oregon Department of Education through a federal contract from the Department of Veterans Affairs, approves educational programs for veterans. The Oregon SAA approves programs at all public and private high schools, universities and colleges, community colleges, and licensed private career schools. The SAA recognizes the importance of providing quality educational and training opportunities to veterans.

The SAA created this database to assist veterans, National Guard members, Reservists, and eligible dependents in locating educational institutions in their area where they may utilize their educational benefits.

Please Note: Colleges and schools can change their program content and availability as well as their tuition and fees throughout the course of the year. Contact the institution for the most current information concerning their policies. However, the institution must submit any changes or new programs to the SAA for approval before a veteran can receive benefits. Please make sure that the SAA has approved the program before you enroll.

This listing of institutions does not constitute an approval of all of their programs. The SAA approves new programs on a weekly basis. If you find a program not listed, please contact the SAA and we will explore the possibility of approval.
