2012-13 Common Core State Standards WebEx Series

The Common Core State Standards (CCSS) for Mathematics are the foundation of the K-12 Oregon Diploma; the Essential Skill of "apply mathematics" is embedded within the CCSS.

Moving to common standards in two content areas represents a major change for Oregon. ODE and its educational partners, are committed to providing educators with the tools they need to understand and implement the Common Core.

	Mathematics Module 1 An introductory module comprised of six sessions designed to assist K-12 teachers and leaders in building initial understanding of the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics (CCSSM).
	Parent Guides National PTA® Parent Guides that explain the CCSS in ELA & Literacy (also in Math) for grades K-8 and 9-12 are available in English and Spanish.
