The Common Core State Standards describe what students should know and be able to do. The "Claims" provide a bridge between the standards and classroom practice, describing what the CCSS looks like for students, so that the standards can be implemented in the classroom with fidelity.
Using these Claims as the organizer, this section of the toolkit offers tools for teachers as they adjust their instruction, lesson design, and assessment practices to support students in achieving the CCSS.
