Level 2 – Introduction for High School Teachers

Level 2 contains TWO workshops, 1 for English Language Arts teachers and 1 for content area teachers. Both are designed to be presented by a local facilitator to high school teachers. Length of each workshop is about 2 to 2½hours.

Focus of Workshops
  • Awareness of Oregon requirements for the Essential Skill of Writing and high school diploma
  • Understanding of Official Oregon Writing Scoring Guide
  • Practice applying Scoring Guide to sample student papers
  • Awareness of different types and uses of scoring guide
