Level 2 – Introduction for High School Teachers

Level 2 contains TWO workshops, 1 for English Language Arts teachers and 1 for content area teachers. Both are designed to be presented by a local facilitator to high school teachers. Length of each workshop is about 2 to 2½hours.

Focus of Workshops

Awareness of Oregon requirements for the Essential Skill of Writing and high school diploma
Understanding of Official Oregon Writing Scoring Guide
Practice applying Scoring Guide to sample student papers
Awareness of different types and uses of scoring guide
