Information Security and Privacy
The Oregon Department of Education (ODE) takes the security and privacy of student and staff data very seriously. ODE has a comprehensive Information Security and Privacy Program that incorporates security at all layers for a ‘defense in depth’ approach. The mission of the Information Security and Privacy Program is to protect the confidentiality of student data and personal information, maintain system and data integrity, maintain availability of service, and create, develop, and promote user awareness and education.
