State Personnel Development Grant (SPDG)
In 2011 ODE applied for and was awarded a State Personnel Development Grant (SPDG) from the
U.S. Department of Education - Office of Special Education Programs. (OSEP)
to continue expanding work started under the 2006-2011 SPDG to additional areas in Oregon.

The focus of the 2011-2016 grant encompasses four broad areas:
Increasing the depth of work started in 2006 with the
Effective Behavioral and Instructional Support Systems (EBISS) state initiative.
Districts and programs involved in the 2006-2011 EBISS initiative will have opportunities to focus on specific improvement areas using
Implementation Science
principles.
Increasing the breadth of work by providing all Oregon school districts the opportunity to take advantage of the principles of
Implementation Science
for school improvement endeavors.
Increasing the scope of impact on Oregon educators by recruiting and funding Speech and Language Pathologists, in partnership with school districts across the state, through "Grow Your Own" programs. For more information please click here:
