Moving to common standards in two content areas represents a major change for Oregon. Many districts and ESDs around Oregon have developed tools and resources to support their educators as they move forward with Common Core implementation. The links below will take you directly to these locally created resources!

Quality Review Rubric Training Materials (NWRESD/CESD)
The materials on this page are designed to assist disrticts in using the Quality Review Rubric (QRR) to implement quality lessons, units, and materials aligned to the Common Core State Standards.
In August 2011, NWRESD worked with Larry Ainsworth and a group of educators from our region, along with other ESDs in the state to create a set of prioritized standards in ELA and Math based on the Common Core.

These Teacher Navigation Tools developed by NWRESD are designed to help teachers see the connections between Oregon State Standards and the CCSS.

Curriculum Maps (Clackamas ESD)
These grade-level curriculum maps created by the Clackamas ESD CCSS Taskforce offer a month-by-month format for teaching the CCSS and include space for connecting instructional resources and assessments.
This two-part (fall & spring) series for teachers and administrators, "Assessing the Impact of CCSS in the Classroom", offers standards of good assessment practices, and encourages participants to determine where they need to deepen their own assessment expertise.
Salem-Keizer SD
Salem-Keizer Public Schools will begin implementing CCSSM beginning Fall 2013. Standards, support for instruction and other resources can be viewed on the Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment (CIA) Online Resource page for Math.
CCSS Instructional Tools (Grant ESD)
This web page hosted by Grant ESD includes a variety of CCSS writing tools, including curriculum planning templates, anchor standard vertical alignment charts, and "Writing Implication Analyses" by grade.
Corvallis SD
This flier developed by the Corvallis SD is designed to help parents understand what the Common Core State Standards initiative is and how it affects their student(s).

This series of workshops from Education NW provide an opportunity to develop an understanding of the CCSSM content and how it differs from current content and practice.
Report Card Template (David Douglas SD)
This Excel spreadsheet from the David Douglas School District can be used to create report cards for grades K-5 aligned to the Common Core State Standards for both ELA and Math.
MESD - Common Core Solutions
This one-stop resource provides communication tools, professional development presentations, video clips, etc., for use by administrators, teachers, and professional development providers.
CCSS Transition PowerPoint (Corvallis SD)
This PowerPoint from the Corvallis School District covers discusses where the district is with CCSS, what tools they have created, and where they are going next.
Formative Assessments for Writing (Clackamas ESD)
These formative assessment tasks for grades 4-12 from Clackamas ESD include the CCSS standard addressed, directions to the teacher, and a scoring scale.
CCSS CCSS Student Report Templates (K-5)
