CCSS Webinar on Text Complexity for ELA
Representatives from higher education, districts, and ESDs collaborated in April 2011 to draft transition resources for the English Language Arts Common Core State Standards (CCSS) using Oregon’s ELA Crosswalk. The Crosswalk between the ELA CCSS and Oregon’s standards
• Provides a comparison
• Indicates Gaps
• Lists possible Implications for Implementation (to be completed during site-specific planning)
• Notes differences in organization.
The Grade-level Crosswalks on this page resulted from this group’s discussion of the similarities and differences between the CCSS (adopted in October 2010) and Oregon’s English language arts standards (adopted in 2003). They were designed to summarize the
gist of what is new, different, and the same for teachers.
Specific links to the
Oregon K-12 Literacy Framework
provide teachers with methods for selecting materials and implementing strategies that will support all students to grade-level proficiency in the CCSS.
