On April 11, 2011, the Oregon Department of Education Child Nutrition Programs (ODE
CNP) sent a memo to National School Lunch Program sponsors concerning
equity in
school lunch pricing.
Due to questions from Sponsors, ODE CNP took another look at the Pricing Examples
and realized that the inflation rate was being applied at the wrong place in the
evaluation process.
Enclosed are the following documents:
- Revised ODE CNP Pricing Examples
- Excel Spreadsheet
Revised Pricing Examples:
The revisions to Example 1 and 2 did not result in a change to the determination of the
required price increase. The revision to Example 3 changed the outcome from required
price increase of $0.05 to a required increase of $0.10.
Please replace the Pricing Examples from the April 11, 2011, memo with the attached
Revised Pricing Example.
Excel SpreadsheetThe Excel spreadsheet will assist you with calculations. It is located on CNPweb at
https://cnp.ode.state.or.us under the 2012 Application, Sponsor Summary, Packet tab.
