RE: 2011 Free and Reduced Price School Data
Action Required: Immediately (Effective Date for School Data is March 1, 2011)
Enclosed are the 2011 Free and Reduced Price School Data lists for schools participating in the
National School Lunch Program, and the FY 2011 Guidance Memorandum on the use of the
data. The data includes the school number to be entered into CNPweb. Sponsors must recheck
any school that used a “placeholder” number for CNPweb when a school number was not
available. The data is divided into two sections:
- CACFP Tiering Schools with .50% Free and Reduced Eligibility
- CACFP Tiering Schools with 40% to 49% Free and Reduced Eligibility
Sponsors of Family Day Care Homes must use this data and guidance effective March 1, 2011,
to qualify providers for Tier 1 by area. Sponsors are required to use the Oregon Department of
Education Child Nutrition Programs (ODE CNP) data and may not use free and reduced price
data obtained directly from schools or other resources.
To document Tier 1 area eligibility, Sponsors must obtain written verification from the school
that the provider’s address is located within the school boundary or obtain detailed maps directly
from the school district or school district websites showing the home is within the boundary of
the eligible school.
We appreciate your partnership in ensuring all Oregon children are well nourished, ready to
learn and able to make life-long healthy food choices.
If you have any questions regarding this information, please contact your assigned child
nutrition specialist or me at (503) 947-5892.
Sincerely,
