CACFP One Month Attendance Report (OMAR) Reminder – CNPweb October
2010 Reimbursement Claim
It is time to develop your October 2010 One Month Attendance Report (OMAR) for each
site requiring an OMAR that will be included on the CACFP reimbursement claim.
If you have already submitted your October 2010 claim and did not develop a new
OMAR for each site requiring an OMAR, immediately contact your assigned Child
Nutrition Specialist for instructions on how to revise the OMAR on your claim.
If you have not already submitted your October 2010 claim, after your FY2011 CACFP
renewal is approved, please submit your October 2010 reimbursement claim online on
CNPweb. If you do not submit the reimbursement claim online, submit the October
2010 reimbursement claim on the paper claim form.
The meal reimbursement received for the entire fiscal year is determined by the
percentage of participants in each eligibility category reported for each site, as reported
on the October 2010 reimbursement claim.
The USDA CACFP Center Manual, Chapters 3 and 4 provide instructions on developing
the OMAR. Remember to develop a separate OMAR for each site. Use the CACFP
Enrollment Roster (Exhibit 23.6) in the USDA CACFP Center Manual updated May 2009,
or a computer-generated report that includes names and the income eligibility category for
all participants included for each site’s October 2010 OMAR.
After submitting the OMAR numbers on your CNPweb October claim, you cannot
change the OMAR numbers on CNPweb. If, during the fiscal year, you want to change
the OMAR, contact your assigned Child Nutrition Specialist.
Reminders:
- Do not submit the roster or any other OMAR backup documentation used to develop
the OMAR unless instructed by the Oregon Department of Education (ODE).
- The OMAR must include all enrolled center participants, including drop-ins, who
attend any time during the month of October.
- Child Care Centers that care for infants in October must include all of the infants in
the October 2010 OMAR.
- If you also have after school at-risk sites, do not include those participants on the
OMAR unless the participants also attend your child care site(s) for which an OMAR
is required.
Centers with Oregon Head Start PreK (OHS PreK) Participants
| |
Children enrolled in Head Start are now automatically eligible for free meals without a
Confidential Income Statement (CIS).
To claim enrolled OHS PreK children in the free category, families may provide an
official enrollment verification document from the OHS PreK program, in lieu of a CIS
form. OHS PreK children attending centers with pricing programs will be claimed in
the free category.
|
OHS PreK Sponsors
| |
Head Start sponsors that are not claiming meals for siblings or children in community
slots are not required to develop a One Month Attendance Report (OMAR). All OHS
PreK-enrolled children will be reimbursed at the free rate.
On the October reimbursement claim for each site, sponsors will enter in the total number
of enrolled Head Start children in the free category and will report “0” children in the
reduced price and above-scale categories.
Head Start sponsors that are claiming meals for siblings and/or children in community
slots at a site will need to collect Confidential Income Statements for those children, and
develop an October OMAR that includes all children at the site. The OHS PreK enrolled
children do not need a CIS and will be claimed at the free rate.
