Below is a list of Oregon Department of Education, Child Nutrition Programs (ODE CNP) trainings available for you to train staff 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
This page will be updated when additional trainings become available. Please continue to check this page for updates.

The deadline to complete the mandatory annual training is Friday, June 5, 2015. If the mandatory annual training is not completed by the established deadline, your Claim for Reimbursement will be withheld until training is complete.

Attendance Requirements: The CNP Program Manager, as recorded in CNPweb, must view all of the required trainings. Additional staff may view the training without submitting proof of completion.

Professional Standards

Professional Standards for school nutrition professionals become effective on July 1, 2015, and is a key provision of the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010 (HHFKA). The rule, published March 2, 2015, requires a minimum amount of annual training hours for school nutrition program directors, managers, and staff. Required training topic areas will vary according to position and job requirements. There are also minimum hiring standards for school nutrition program directors.

During this training we will discuss the Oregon Farm to School and School Garden grant. This grant enables all Oregon school districts to be reimbursed for purchasing Oregon grown or Oregon processed food items for the upcoming biennium (School years 2015-2016 & 2016-2017).
