RE: 2010/2011 Confidential Income Statements and Income Eligibility Guidelines
Child and Adult Care Food Program
Effective July 1, 2010, and until further notice, Child and Adult Care Food Program
(CACFP) sponsors are to use the following forms and information to determine CACFP
income eligibility and develop the One Month Attendance Report:
Important Notes:
- The publication of the 2010/2011 Federal poverty guidelines has been delayed
indefinitely.
- Effective July 1, 2010, sponsors must use all forms and instructions enclosed in this
mailing. If and when the new income eligibility guidelines change, the Oregon
Department of Education Child Nutrition Programs (ODE CNP) will notify sponsors with
instructions. If this happens before June 30, 2011, sponsors are not required to
recategorize any 2010/2011 Confidential Income Statement (CIS) forms that were
already approved.
- The Income Eligibility Guidelines in this mailing are titled 2010/2011 but the actual
income limits for free and reduced price meals are the same as 2009/2010.
- The Letter to Household does not include the income guidelines, per USDA
instructions.
- The CIS forms and CIS Instructions are updated.
Income determinations based on the CIS will be valid for 12 months. For more
information, refer to Chapter 3 in the USDA CACFP Center Manual “Big Red”. ODE CNP
will notify sponsors as soon as the new guidelines are published, at which time the new
guidelines will go into effect.
If you have questions or do not have Internet access and need a translated form, please
