Corvallis School District Teachers and Construction Apprentice trainers collaborated to design common skills, outcomes and training for high school students. Students applied and interviewed to be selected for the project. High School students learned construction trade and safety skills, participated in pre-apprenticeship training at the Oregon and Southern Idaho Laborer Employers' Training Center and completed Service-Learning projects. This short video reveals student growth and action before, during and after the Service-Learning and pre-apprenticeship training that will continue and expand in the 2009-2012 grant cycle..
