Test Coordinator Training Materials
District Test Coordinators (DTCs) must participate in annual test security and administration training provided by ODE. For 2014-15, DTCs must independently review the 2014-15 ODE-provided recorded training modules below by November 1, 2014 and register for one of the required ODE-facilitated WebEx sessions scheduled for November 4 - 6, 2014. DTCs must also use the ODE-provided training modules when conducting School Test Coordinator (STC) and Test Administrator (TA) trainings within their district. To provide flexibility in conducting local STC and TA trainings, ODE has posted each training module in both a recorded video format as well as the PowerPoint file with presenter notes. Smarter Balanced Test Session How-to Video (Optional)
ODE has developed this
training video to help familiarize test administrators with using the TA Interface of OAKS Online to set up and manage a Smarter Balanced test session, as well as with the Student Interface. Using the practice tests available through the
, this video walks TAs through the process of setting up a test session and shows what students will see as they take the Smarter Balanced English language arts computer adaptive test (ELA CAT), ELA performance task (ELA PT), math CAT, and math PT. This video also introduces TAs to assigning available accessibility supports to individual students through the TA interface and demonstrates how students will use each of those supports when testing. (Note: this optional training video is intended to
the required Test Administration and Security training modules. For training requirements by role, please refer to Section 1.5 of the

OAKS Online Reporting System Training Video (Optional)
This optional training video walks users through how to use the Online Reporting System to run performance and participation reports for OAKS Online and ELPA. (The Online Reporting System will be updated to include Smarter Balanced reports once the Smarter Balanced statewide test window opens in March.)

2014-15 Training Survey
After watching all 2014-15 ODE-provided training modules, DTCs must complete the 2014-15 Training Survey by
November 1, 2014
. The purpose of the training survey is to check for comprehension of the test security and administration requirements and to provide DTCs with an opportunity to submit questions they would like addressed during the ODE-facilitated WebEx sessions.

After watching all 2014-15 ODE-provided training modules and completing the 2014-15 Training Survey, DTCs were required to attend an ODE-facilitated WebEx. ODE hosted three WebEx sessions on November 4 – 6, 2014. A copy of the powerpoint used during these WebEx sessions is provided below that contains clarification on policies and procedures described in each of the training modules, as well as answers to questions raised by DTCs through the Training Survey.
