    The Office of Migrant Education (OME) administers grant programs that provide academic and supportive services to the children of families who migrate to find work in the agricultural and fishing industries.

    The Migrant Education Program (MEP) is authorized by Part C of Title I of the Elementary and Secondary Eduation Act. The MEP provides formula grants to State educational agencies (SEAs) to establish or improve education programs for migrant children.

  • Oregon Migrant Education Service Center (OMESC)  External Link  
    The Oregon Migrant Education Service Center (OMESC) is the educational support agency of the Oregon Department of Education's Migrant Education Program. The primary objective of the MESC is to assist school districts that enroll eligible migrant students with supplementary technical assistance.
