Organizations
American Association for Gifted Children at Duke University
To foster a better understanding of the needs and capabilities of gifted children, to encourage research in the field of education and nurturing of gifted children, and to accomplish and encourage other initiatives relating to the development of gifted children.
Council for Exceptional Children
The largest international professional organization dedicated to improving educational outcomes for individuals with exceptionalities, students with disabilities, and/or the gifted.
Gifted Development Center
Serves parents, schools, and advocacy groups with information about identification, assessment, counseling, learning styles, programs, presentations, and resources for gifted children and adults.
Institute for Educational Advancement
A non-profit organization dedicated to supporting our nation's most talented young people to identify and develop their fullest potential. Oregon Destination ImagiNation

Education Resources Information Center (ERIC)
A federally-funded national information system that provides, through its 16 subject-specific clearinghouses, associated adjunct clearinghouses, and support components, a variety of services and products on a broad range of education-related issues. AskERIC is a personalized Internet-based service providing education information to teachers, librarians, counselors, administrators, parents, and anyone interested in education throughout the United States and the world.

The College of William and Mary Center for Gifted Education
Duke University, Talent Identification Program
Identifies gifted children and provides resources to nurture their development. TIP is committed to serving this unique group of students by providing services and programs beyond what is offered in the classroom. Through TIP a whole range of activities and programs are accessible to parents and teachers to meet the individual needs of gifted children.
Johns Hopkins University, Center for Talented Youth
To inspire young people by offering distinctive educational opportunities that nurture intellectual abilities, advance academic achievement, and enhance personal development. Dedicated to identifying young people's academic talents in the liberal arts and offering them challenging in-school or out-of-school educational programs in mathematics, the sciences, and the humanities specially suited to their emerging abilities.
Northwestern University, Center for Talent Development
This is a program for gifted youth out of the Department of Education and Social Policy at Northwestern University, just outside of Chicago, IL. This is an accredited learning center and research facility, providing programs and talent search opportunities to the gifted community.
