Educational Technology - Distance Learning
Today's technology allows students and teachers to reach far beyond the walls of their classroom and school. A variety of distance learning tools provide students and teachers with access to information, course content, communication, and experiences never before imagined.
The Oregon Access Network is used to connect educators and classrooms throughout Oregon, creating a statewide virtual education community. This network includes over 200 high schools, 20 Education Service Districts (ESD's), and also supports community college and higher education connections.
Oregon Virtual School District (ORVSD)
The Oregon Virtual School District is a program led by the Oregon Department of Education that, in cooperation with a consortium of virtual learning providers throughout the state, seeks to increase access and availability of online learning and teaching resources free of charge to the people of Oregon.
