Educational Technology - Technology Planning
Technology plans are required for NCLB Title IID funding and e-Rate Discounts. District Technology Plans are reviewed separately for Title IID and e-Rate. Updated Technology Plans will be due February 2009. These plans are effective from July 1, 2009 to June 30, 2011.

The purpose of this document is to create an overall Strategic Technology Vision that will lay a path for accomplishments expected by 2012 and also align with the USDE Strategic Plan, ODE Strategic Framework, IRMD Strategic Plan, E2T2/E-Rate Plan, Oregon School Board Vision and the Quality Education Model.

e-Rate Planning Resources
e-Rate Program Technology Planning
e-Rate is a federally created program to provide discounts to assist most schools and libraries with obtaining affordable telecommunications and Internet access. It was enacted by Congress under the Telecommunications Act of 1996 and directed the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to create the Universal Service Administration as the mechanism for administering the program.
