Comprehensive Guidance and Counseling (CGC) - Cohort Sites



Comprehensive Guidance and Counseling - Cohort Sites Since 2004, a cross-section of school districts have been selected annually to participate as lead sites in the Oregon Department of Education's statewide efforts to support the implementation of the Oregon Framework for Comprehensive Guidance and Counseling. Each group of school districts are sometimes referred to as a cohort site, cohort district, or simply as a cohort.

An expectation of each cohort district is that they will share their expertise, materials, advice, programs -- and their missteps -- so that others may benefit from the achievements and lessons learned at these lead sites. The dedicated individuals at these lead districts will tell you that the full implementation of a district comprehensive guidance and counseling program is an on-going work-in-progress.

The following links, documents, and contacts are provided to support others as they implement a comprehensive guidance and counseling program in their school districts. You are encouraged to contact the lead districts with questions and for additional information.
