  • PARKING
    Park & Pay Daily Parking Area - A self-serve Park & Pay is available in the southeast corner of the Yellow Lot bounded by Summer, Winter, Center & Marion Streets. Anyone may use this parking. The rate is $6 per day (subject to change). Parking permits are purchased from the vending machine located on the center aisle of row B & C. The machine accepts debit or credit cards.

    Parking meters are available at 75c per hour (subject to change) on the upper level of the Capitol Mall Underground Parking Structure (Located on Chemeketa between Capitol St. and Winter St. There are 2 hour (green sticker), 4 hour (red sticker) & 10 hour (blue sticker) time limit meters. Daily permits issued by State Agencies cannot be used in the parking structure. There are also parking meters along Capitol and Court Streets and surrounding area.

    A Park & Ride Shuttle from the state-owned lot on Airport Road is available for those wanting to go to the Capitol Mall. Salem Transit buses shuttle passengers to several stops around the mall. Parking is free to anyone, but parking is limited. Each shuttle ride costs the current bus fare . This shuttle is primarily for state employees unable to obtain parking in the mall rather than visitors.  Buses run every 15 minutes morning and evening and every 30 minutes mid-day, beginning at 6:15 AM with the last run leaving the lot at 5:45 PM.  Contact the Oregon State Parking office for more information on the above options: (503) 378-5090.

    You may also want to contact the Capitol Visitor's desk at (503) 986-1388. They sell for around $6 City of Salem parking permits for street meters around the Capitol. These permits can be purchased ahead of time and used as needed as they are "scratch-it" permits.
