Health - Assessment
Health - Assessment
In Oregon, districts are responsible for designing and implementing performance requirements in health education. When assessment is an integral part of health instruction, it contributes significantly to a student's ability to apply skills that lead to positive behavioral changes. Assessment in health may take the form of a checklist, performance assessment or more traditional formats (i.e., multiple choice, essay response).
Scoring Guides
A scoring guide is an assessment tool used to judge the quality of student performance in relation to content standards. As an assessment tool, scoring guides provide specific criteria to describe a range of possible student responses and a consistent set of guidelines to rate student work.
