  • Elementary & Secondary Ed Act (ESEA) - Grant/Program Info
    "No Child Left Behind" (NCLB) is the 2001 Congressional reauthorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), the major Federal funding mandate for public schools.

  • The State Board of Education (K-12/community colleges) met with members of the Board of Higher Education in summer 2005 to discuss systems-related issues including a PK-20 vision for education, systems alignment, high school diploma, integrated data systems, and a unified education enterprise budget.
  • Surveys of Enacted Curriculum (SEC) in Oregon
    The Surveys of Enacted Curriculum, or SEC, was developed in 1998 as a tool to measure alignment between instruction and standards. Surveys are available in mathematics, science, social studies and English language arts.
