Language Assessment: What it Measures and How
10/04/2007 (189.50 KB)
Scoring Rubrics to gauge English Language Proficiency are provided as a supplement to the Oregon English Language Proficiency Standards. The descriptors in each of the scoring rubrics have been researched to provide an accurate measure of English language proficiency for a wide variety of language functions.
The scoring rubrics are
not
mandatory. They are intended for use by classroom teachers as a way to gauge students' on-going progress in the acquisition of English and as one way to inform instruction.
